- Use the following guidelines to analyze each example.
- Logical connectives have been used in each of the sentences.
- Punctuate each sentence in an acceptable manner.
- Underline the subject and verb of each main and dependent clause.
- Circle each subordinate connective.
- Label, track, and tabulate your clauses.
- Be on the lookout for run-on sentences.
- Use a period, a semicolon, or a comma plus a coordinate connective to join main clauses.
